Our Environmental Commitments:

CCAM Purchases lumber from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified suppliers. These suppliers are dedicated to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

CCAM uses automated saws and software that are driven to maximize yield in the processing of lumber.

All veneers, particleboard and MDF products meet or exceed the California Air Resources Board (CARB) of stringent standards.

Hardwood waste is ground and automatically loaded with sawdust into semi trucks where it is recycled into products such as outdoor decking material and wood burning stove pellets.

Conveying and loading of sawdust into semi trucks is accomplished in a completely enclosed system, which minimizes the potential for sawdust to be released into the atmosphere.

Cleaner Air:

CCAM maintains a strict Approval Order with the Utah Division of Air Quality and we use the best practices and technology that is possible to reduce particulate and VOC emissions.

Of the Volatile Organic Compound’s (VOC’S) that are emitted from the painting process, CCAM has reduced the VOC’S by 38% per unit produced. This was accomplished by converting to High Solids/Low VOC paint products and extending the allotted drying time.

                            

Responsibility in Manufacturing:

Hazardous waste material is recycled and used as a fuel in other manufacturing processes. It is also minimized through employee involvement and awareness.

Lower energy usage is achieved with the application of soft start motors and an energy management system that controls plant wide heating, cooling and lighting.

When possible, CCAM use’s environmentally friendly material in the construction of our components, cabinetry and production processes.
