Cabinet
surface care:
Clean as needed using mild detergent and a soft, lint free
cloth. Dry surfaces immediately following the direction of the
wood grain. For extensive cleaning, use an emulsion-type cleaner
(such as a good quality oil soap). These cleaners are formulated
without wax, petroleum solvents or silicones. Never use abrasive
cleaners, scouring pads or powdered cleansers on the cabinet
surface. To polish and
maintain the wood surfaces, use a good quality, mineral oil
based furniture polish that does not contain wax or silicone.
Buff the piece with a soft, lint free cloth such as cheesecloth
to maintain the finish.

Interior
care:
Drawers and shelves with
white melamine acrylic-coated “Dura Foil” can be cleaned with
most non-abrasive household cleaners. Avoid using agents
containing acetone, acetate or ethyl alcohol and dry surfaces
immediately. For drawers and shelves with a wood finish, please
follow the instructions above for cabinet surface care. |

The natural
characteristics of wood:
The
unique characteristics of the wood species were stamped into the
tree by nature and in no way reduce the quality of the furniture
grade lumber we use in our products. Wood species in all
finishes will darken when exposed to different types of light.
Other characteristics of wood including knot holes and random
black mineral streaks will also darken with age. The appearance
of the finished product may vary due to natural and acceptable
differences in the grain and color of the wood.

Standard
Hinges:
Classic Cabinets uses a
concealed, 105 degree opening, one-piece assembly, ˝” overlay
with a two-way adjustment. This hinge is not meant to open
beyond the 105-degree point. This will add increased stress on
the cabinet door and may cause the door to crack or split at the
hinge point. All replacement requests due to doors that have
broken due to stress from opening beyond this limit will be
handled as chargeable, non-warranty items.

Glazing
Disclaimer:
Glazing is a hand-applied process. It is designed to deposit
glaze randomly in the details and grain and create a color
contrast over the color it is applied to. The glaze enhances the
natural characteristics of the wood, such as burls, knots, grain
definition and density variations. Therefore, the customer
should not expect a predictable pattern from piece to piece.
Tight-grained wood species such as maple retain less of the
glaze, producing a lighter appearance. Recessed panel doors will
also appear lighter than raised panel doors. The more detail in
a door or drawer front, the greater the effect the glaze will
have. All replacement requests made due to the “look” of the
finished product will be handled as chargeable, non-warranty
items.
